Sindh, Punjab announce summer vacation schedules for schools

RAWALPINDI: Important instructions have been issued for parents by setting a new age limit for admission to schools.

According to the details, the Rawalpindi Education Department has issued a new age chart for new admissions to government schools, this time admissions are already delayed, and now the new age restriction has increased the worries of parents.

Details of the minimum age of a child for admission to each class have been revealed.

For nursery, 3 years, for Prep, 4 years, for first class, 5 years, for second class, 6 years, for third class, 7 years, for fourth class, 8 years, for fifth class, 9 years, for sixth class, 10 years.

In addition, for seventh class, 11 years, for eighth class, 12 years, for ninth class, and for tenth class, it should be 14 years or more.

Officials say that at the time of registration for the ninth grade board exams, the child must be at least 13 years old, if the age is less than this, registration will not be possible.

It should be remembered that admissions in private schools started in January, while in government schools this process started from April 1.

The education department has advised parents to keep this new age chart in mind while enrolling their children.
