LAHORE: The provincial government of Punjab has relaxed the transfer policy for teachers seeking postings closer to home. Eligible teachers will now be exempted from the three-year service requirement required before applying for transfer.
Earlier, teachers had to complete at least three years at a station before being eligible for transfer.
Meanwhile, applications for transfer under the open merit category are currently being accepted online. Teachers can apply till September 28. Verification of applications will be completed by October 4 and transfer orders will be issued on October 15.
