ISLAMABAD: If you and your kids are fans of K&Ns frozen foods, then it may be time to think more carefully before buying your next K&N’s frozen meal.

Recent findings and worries have raised serious questions about the health effects of eating frozen foods from K&Ns, with warnings from experts of possible connections to deadly diseases like heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, and death.

Medical studies report that the freezing and preserving process tends to remove vital nutrients, mainly Vitamin C, from food.

Moreover, these foods generally consist of high amounts of sodium, preservatives, and trans fats, which tend to raise blood pressure and endanger your heart.

Research also confirms that eating such foods consistently causes accumulations of toxic chemicals within the body.

More disturbing, perhaps, is the potential for bacterial development if frozen foods are mishandled or cooked. Reheating does not always remove this risk, and handling carelessly can result in severe food poisoning that can even become fatal.

These issues affect not just meat but also frozen vegetables and snacks, which, though they look fresh, could be filled with concealed dangers.

One of the main concerns brought by nutritionists is the incorporation of industrial preservatives and trans fats in most frozen products, including those of K&Ns.

Both of these compounds are linked with long-term health impairment, especially in young people, and are of the top contributors to early-onset heart disease.

More so, the use of packaging, which is usually dependent on plastics, contributes to environmental degradation, increasing pollution, and environmental damage.

During an interview, a frequent K&Ns customer shared that after taking these products for two years, he developed chronic high blood pressure.

Only after a thorough medical consultation was he instructed to completely abstain from processed and frozen foods. The individual story reflects advice given by physicians and food safety specialists across the globe.

What makes matters worse is that frozen foods are often marketed as a convenient option, especially in busy urban lifestyles. But beneath that convenience lies a harsh reality—one where nutrition is compromised, health is endangered, and long-term wellness is sacrificed for short-term ease.

Most developed countries have already made serious efforts. South Korea and a number of EU countries have banned certain ingredients and preservatives in products such as those from K&Ns.

These efforts highlight the international concern regarding the unregulated use of toxic additives in frozen foods.

As businesses continue to spend big bucks on advertising, couponingand discounting to get the consumer in the door, it is important to wonder what is behind the sleek branding.

Consumers are being cautioned by experts to buy fresh, unprocessed foods whenever possible and to be educated as to what they are consuming.

Frozen food can appear to be a convenient solution, but the hidden health costs can be catastrophic. Its time to put health above convenience and make nutrition that properly nourishes.
