Govt announces three holidays on THESE dates!

ISLAMABAD: Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced to keep all courts of Punjab closed on 17 September 2024 on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

The decision has been taken following a notification issued by the Registrar after the approval of Chief Justice Alia Neelum.

The closure applies to all civil and sessions courts across the province, including the Lahore High Court. The holiday is celebrated on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which is the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

This decision is in line with the recent announcement of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on September 4, 2024. The committee confirmed that the moon of the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was not sighted, which would make Rabi-ul-Awwal start on September 6 and Eid-ul-Fitr on September 6. Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on September 17.

12 Rabi Al-Awwal, also known as Milad-un-Nabawi, holds great significance for Muslims around the world. This day is celebrated with religious activities and festive celebrations to coincide with the birth of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH).
