ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has given an explanation for not attending the high-level meeting organized by the federal government on agriculture and Afghan refugees.
In his statement, Sohail Afridi said that he personally excused himself from attending the meeting because the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had given their votes and mandate to Imran Khan.
He said that until he meets Imran Khan and gets policy guidelines, attending any such meeting would be an insult to the public mandate.

He added that he hoped that the federal government would resolve the matter soon and issue instructions to the relevant authorities so that a regular meeting could be arranged for him with his leader, Imran Khan.
The Chief Minister said that his legal team is also approaching all relevant legal forums, including the Islamabad High Court, in this regard.
