ISLAMABAD: The accountability court on Monday delayed the verdict on the £190 million reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi tomorrow.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana announced that the verdict, reserved last week, would be pronounced on January 6, 2025, which was earlier reserved for today.
During today’s hearing, the presiding judge said, “The verdict will not be announced today as the winter vacations are coming, and there is also a course at the high court.”
Officially, the court is set to go on winter vacation from tomorrow (December 24) until January 1.
Earlier, the Islamabad accountability court had reserved its verdict in the £190 million case against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on December 18, saying it would be announced on December 23 (today).
Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the accountability court held the hearing at Adiala Jail. The court reserved the verdict in the case after the prosecution team and lawyers completed their arguments.
Imran and Bushra were indicted on February 27, shortly after the general elections. The accountability court took almost a year to complete the case hearing.
