The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad has declared the opening of six authorized cattle markets, which will serve the entire capital city during the upcoming Eid al-Adha holidays.
The authorized cattle markets will begin their operations on May 10, according to the announcement. The district administration announced that they will establish cattle markets at Zia Masjid and I-12, Barakahu, and Lehtrar Road, Sultana Foundation, Sangjani, and Japan Road.
The deputy commissioner required the authorities to finish all cleaning, security, and parking work before the markets start their business operations.
The administration announced that they will handle complaints about excessive charging that goes beyond the official fee schedule at the cattle markets.
A magistrate will remain on duty at each market around the clock to monitor operations. The authorities received an order to work with the traffic police in order to maintain proper traffic movement on all roads that connect to the cattle markets.
The district administration further stated that the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals outside officially designated cattle markets would be strictly prohibited across Islamabad.
