PESHAWAR: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in various cities of the country on Monday, causing panic among residents in several areas.
According to reports, tremors were experienced in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Swat and Malakand, prompting people to come out of their homes and buildings in fear.
The Seismological Center stated that the earthquake measured 4.9 on the Richter scale, while its depth was recorded at 130 kilometers.
Officials said the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
No loss of life or property has been reported so far following the earthquake, according to initial reports from local authorities.
