Federal govt notifies new office timings in 2024 for employees

Islamabad closes offices ahead of US–Iran Talks security alert

ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has announced new timings for federal government employees.

According to the notification, working hours in federal government offices five days a week will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m..

Office hours, which work six days a week, will start from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Federal government employees will be given a 30-minute break from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m..

It should be noted that the timing of the federal government offices was revised during Ramadan.

Working hours in federal government institutions were from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., five days a week. The working office hours six days a week were from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Friday, the timing of federal government offices was from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
