LAHORE: Senior Anchor person and journalist Orya Maqbool Jan has been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing.
According to his lawyer, Azhar Siddique, Orya made a social media post related to the Mubarak Zani case which resulted in his arrest.
Jan is currently held at the FIA Cybercrime office in Gulberg, Lahore.
Moreover, Siddique has indicated that no one has provided him with the First Information Report (FIR) details. He argues that the FIA may not have jurisdiction over the case and plans to challenge the charges vigorously.
Jan is anticipated to be presented before a judicial magistrate later today.
