FIA bust international human trafficking ring with Indian connections

FIA apprehends four Human Traffickers at Karachi airport

LAHORE: A joint operation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and intelligence agencies has led to the dismantling of a transnational human trafficking network in Lahore.

The ring, which had Indian nationals among its key operatives, preyed on vulnerable individuals by offering fake overseas job opportunities and swindling them out of millions of rupees.

The network’s modus operandi involved creating counterfeit documents using a printing press and producing fake papers for various countries.

Further investigations revealed that the group also facilitated individuals seeking political asylum in different countries and had ties with international smuggling rings.

A plot to defame Pakistan was also uncovered, with Indian and Afghan nationals implicated in these criminal activities. The group’s operations involved forgery, scams, and exploiting innocent citizens with promises of jobs abroad.

Several Indian and Afghan nationals were found to be deeply involved in activities, which aimed to tarnish Pakistan’s reputation.
