ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced plans to launch the Margalla Trail Patrol in Islamabad’s picturesque Margalla Hills.
The Interior Minister said a trail patrol will be launched to secure the Margalla hiking trails in Islamabad, especially for foreigners.
Taking on X, Mohsin Naqvi said, ” We’re launching the Margalla Trail Patrol to secure the beautiful trails of Margalla, especially for the safety of foreigners who love exploring them.”

Furthermore, he added that the tri-pronged security cover includes Trail Motorcycles, mounted Police (horses), and foot patrolling.

Earlier this month, eight people including a foreign woman tourist robbed while hiking in the Shah Allah Ditta area of Golra police station. Dacoits held tourists at gunpoint snatched their mobiles and demanded money.
A foreign woman tourist was visiting Taxila Stupa when she and her Pakistani companions were robbed. Tourists were parking their vehicles in Shah Allah Ditta and were preparing to hike towards the Stupa.
