ISLAMABAD: In a ground breaking move, the government has announced a refund of Rs. 40,000 for Hajj pilgrims who performed the pilgrimage last year.

The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain, shared the details during an interview that refunds will be given on the category of pilgrims not exceeding Rs. 40,000.

Besides that, the government is already working on some excellent improvements for Hajj pilgrims this year. Pilgrims will receive three meals a day, which is an enhancement compared with past arrangements.

The Mina accommodation will be in gypsum-built tents, as opposed to the cloth tents provided last year. Accommodation for pilgrims this time is also being offered in place of room coolers.

A really great mobility for this year’s Hajj pilgrims would appear to be the “Road to Makkah,” which would allow pilgrims to complete immigration procedures in Pakistan and send their luggage directly to their Saudi hotels.

This would be a huge plus for a more seamless and convenient experience for pilgrims. The government is commendable in its endeavors to improve the Hajj experience and facility for pilgrims.
