LAHORE: Lahore Police have booked seven accused on the complaint alleging that hidden cameras have been installed in the washroom of a girl hostel, located in Lahore’s Johar Town area.

According to the details, a student’s uncle accused the hostel administration of secretly recording obscene videos of female students in the Ghazal Hostel. More than 40 female students from different cities of Punjab were living in the hostel.

Upon the complaint, a case has been registered against seven individuals, including the hostel owners, Salim and Fouzia Salim, and several staff members at Lahore’s Johar Town Police Station.

The accused, including Saqib from Vehari, Tayyab Shahzad from Sheikhupura, Muhammad Zubair from Jhang, Irfan from Pakpattan, and Ali Hassan from Rahim Yar Khan, were also named in the case. However, they escaped from the scene upon learning of the police investigation.

Following the incident, the police vacated the hostel and started an investigation into the matter. The statements of the students were recorded by the police investigation teams. The students confirmed the presence of the camera in the washrooms in their statements.
