IHC to hear petition seeking closure of Imran Khan’s Twitter account

Former world cricket legends voice concern over Imran Khan’s health in jail

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has scheduled a hearing on the petition seeking closure of PTI founder Imran Khan’s Twitter account.

According to media reports, the petition was filed by citizen Ghulam Murtaza through lawyer Barrister Zafarullah, in which it has been taken the position that illegal and malicious tweets are being shared from Imran Khan’s account, which should be removed and blocked.

The petition also requests the court to prevent the alleged anarchic posts from being spread from Imran Khan’s account during his imprisonment.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the Islamabad High Court will hear the petition on November 4, for which the Registrar’s Office has issued a cause list.

The court has issued a notice to Imran Khan and sought a response, while a written response has also been sought from the National Cyber ​​Crime Agency, the Superintendent of Prisons, and other parties.
