ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has discarded the Foreign Relations Committee formed by the party on January 25, 2025, sources said.
Sources within PTI told Daily Ausaf that Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated in Adiala Jail, has instructed the party to notify the committee in two parts, with separate tasks to engage at local and international levels.
Earlier on Saturday, PTI issued a notification regarding the formation of a six-member Foreign Relations Committee, with Raoof Hasan to be its chairperson.
As per the details, the party founder has dissolved the committee formed under the leadership of Raoof Hasan, which was tasked to engage at the international level.
Khan has appointed Zulfi Bukhari as the convener of the new committee, named the International Coordination Committee, which will also include Shahbaz Gill, Atif Khan, and Sajjad Burki.
The notification of which will be issued later today, sources said.
Furthermore, the former premier has instructed a second coordination committee will be formed to engage with the diplomatic community stationed in Pakistan.
The convener of the local coordination committee will be Raoof Hasan, comprising PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja and Opposition Leader in NA Omar Ayub.

The notification shared last week, signed by party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, stated that the committee has been constituted on the instruction of the party’s founding chairman Imran Khan.
The committee has been tasked to “stay connected with the diplomatic community stationed in Pakistan” giving them frequent updates about the developments taking shape in the country and the region.
“Work on developing the broad contours of a foreign policy that would be suited to advancing Pakistan’s interests in the context of a fast-shifting geo-strategic paradigm,” the party tasked the newly formed committee on foreign relations.
