Former world cricket legends voice concern over Imran Khan’s health in jail

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi heard Aleema Khan’s plea for a medical examination of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The plea was presided over by Judge Amjad Ali Shah. During the hearing, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail submitted Imran Khan’s medical report before the court.

The report, which includes the medical history of Imran Khan from the last two years, stated that the PTI founder is undergoing treatment under the supervision of expert doctors and has been facing various problems related to teeth, ears, nose, throat, eyes, and bones.

According to the report, ophthalmologists, orthopedic surgeons, and ENT specialists have examined and treated him several times.

It was further informed that Imran Khan’s cholesterol level had increased, for which medicines and necessary measures are being taken.

The jail administration informed the court that all the treatments and medicines prescribed by the jail hospital are provided on time.

On August 12, a 4-member medical team had also conducted a detailed medical examination of Imran Khan.

Later, the court adjourned further hearing on Aleema Khan’s request until September 1.
