Indian PM Modi’s plane uses Pakistani airspace for return to India

ISLAMABAD: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane used Pakistan’s airspace while he was returning to New Delhi from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Saturday.

According to civil aviation sources, Narendra Modi’s aircraft entered Pakistan at 10:15 am and remained within Pakistan’s airspace for 46 minutes before making its way into India’s territory at 11:01 am.

Sources privy to the development said the plane entered Pakistan’s borders from Chitral and then fled through the air control zones of Islamabad and Lahore and eventually entered Amritsar via Lahore after 46 46-minute flight.

Indian PM Narendra Modi arrived at Palam airport in Delhi after concluding his two-nation visit to Poland and Ukraine.

It is pertinent to mention that Narendra Modi’s special VVIP flight also flew over Pakistani airspace in 2021 while traveling to Italy for the G20 Summit. The aircraft had used Pakistani airspace after getting formal permission from Islamabad.

Entering Pakistani airspace from Bahawalpur, Prime Minister Modi’s plane Boeing 777, 300ER, K7066 had passed through Turbat and Panjgur before reaching Italy via Iran and Turkey.
