Iran talks could begin in Pakistan in 48 hours: Trump

Donald Trump Summons Key Cabinet Meeting Amid Critical Iran Negotiations

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said that the negotiations with Iran might be taking place within the next two days in Pakistan, and “we are more willing to go there,” the New York Post reported on Tuesday.

“You should stay here because something will happen within the next two days, and we are more willing to go there,” he told NY Post reporter Caitlin Doornbos, who is now in Pakistan.

“More likely? Why do you think so? It is more likely because the field marshal is doing a great job.”

“He is excellent, so it is more likely for us to return there,” he added. “Why should we go to a country where we have no interest?”

He added that when no country is directly involved in the matter, why should the talks be held elsewhere? Therefore, talks in Islamabad may be more appropriate.
