Islamabad police announces schedule for license provision

ISLAMABAD: A British diplomat’s wife was robbed in Islamabad F-6 Markaz on Sept 25, a day before the family’s departure, police said on Monday. The diplomat’s wife reported that two persons riding a bike had snatched a handbag.

An FIR was registered on the request of Security Adviser at the British High Commission Jonathon Wilson to DIG Syed Ali Raza urging him to recover the handbag.

Police registered the case against unknown robbers at the Kohsar police station under section 382 of the PPC.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the diplomat and his wife were walking when the criminals snatched the bag from the woman’s shoulder on Aga Khan Road in F-6 Markaz.

As per the complainant, the bag contained personal items, including UK debit and credit cards, a mobile phone worth Rs270,000, a Nokia mobile phone, 350 British pounds, and local currency.

The incident happened a day before the departure of the diplomat and his family from Islamabad to his country for further posting.
