WASHINGTON: US Vice President JD Vance has credited Pakistan’s top leadership for playing a key role in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran.
In a recent statement, Vance praised Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, calling them “exceptional hosts” who demonstrated “real statesmanship” during the engagement.
He noted that Pakistan helped mediate conversations between Washington and Tehran—two countries that have not held serious talks for a long time.
The remarks highlight Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role in the region, particularly in easing tensions and fostering dialogue between rival nations.
