Basic Aviation Security Course passing-out parade held in Karachi

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Mohammad Avais Dastgir attended the passing out parade of the 52nd Basic Aviation Security Course and 32nd Officer Basic Aviation Security Course.

The passing out parade of the Basic Aviation Security Course of the Airport Security Force was held at the ASF Academy in Karachi.

A total of 655 new recruits, both men and women, underwent training in the Basic Aviation Security Course. During their training, the recruits were not only taught modern aviation security methods but also had to undergo physically demanding and difficult stages to prepare them for any difficult situation.

The ceremony was attended by Lt Gen Mohammad Avais Dastgir, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-e-Imtiaz as the chief guests. A general salute was presented by the parade on their arrival.

The Corps Commander inspected the parade along with Major General Adnan Asif Jah Shad, Director General, Airport Security Force.

The chief guest awarded medals and prizes to the trainees who showed exceptional performance.

Addressing the ceremony, he appreciated the efforts of the Airport Security Force in ensuring foolproof security and maintaining law and order at the country’s airports. He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Airport Security Force.

Finally, the Corps Commander congratulated the recruits and their families who completed their training and expressed hope that they would prove to be a positive addition to the manpower of the Airport Security Force.
