Khyber Pakthunkhwa announces public holiday on September 17

Balochistan announces closure of all educational institutions tomorrow

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued notification of a public holiday across the province on September 17 (Tuesday) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

The notification issued by the provincial government said that all educational institutions and government offices will remain closed on Tuesday.

The federal, Punjab and Sindh governments have already declared a public holiday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet (PBUH).

12 Rabi Al-Awwal, also known as Eid Milad-ul-Nabi, is very important in the Islamic calendar. It is a day of deep reflection and celebration, as it is the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), whose life and teachings influence billions of people around the world.

In Pakistan, this day is traditionally celebrated with great devotion and respect through processions, special prayers and religious gatherings.

Preparations for this occasion are already underway in cities and towns across Pakistan. Houses, streets and buildings are being decorated with lights and banners while various religious organizations are planning events to celebrate the day.
