ISLAMABAD: In Pakistan, the wedding season that starts with a drop in temperature has also marked an increase in demand for fresh currency notes.

With the upcoming gaiety of celebrations, it has become very traditional to give away new notes, and many people seek these for wedding envelopes and on festival occasions.

Fresh currency notes are showered as a sign of extravagance and to show off one’s wealth, sometimes at weddings in Pakistan. This practice has penetrated the various cities of Pakistan, including Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, and Rawalpindi.

These fresh currency notes are available at the State Bank of Pakistan and other banks in all cities of Pakistan without any charges.

But at times, people were unable to get the bundles of fresh notes from the banks. In this situation, they can visit the shops in the open market to buy the fresh produce.

Rs100 Currency Note Bundle Rate

Shopkeepers sell the fresh currency notes bundle at higher prices in the open market. The worth of a Rs100 currency note bundle stands at Rs10,000, but in the open market, you have to pay extra money as it costs Rs10,500 to Rs10,700.

Rs10 Currency Note Bundle Rate

Shopkeepers make profits in the open market by selling the fresh currency notes. The bundle of Rs 10 currency notes, which is worth Rs 1,000, is sold for Rs 1,200-1,300 in the open market.

Rs50 Currency Note Bundle Rate

In the open market, the price of a Rs50 currency note worth Rs5,000 is sold for Rs5,300-5,500.
