LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 118 buildings and premises in Lahore for unsanctioned use and non-payment of commercialization fees and took a stand against illegal commercialization in Lahore.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of LDA Chief Town Planner I Assad-uz-Zaman and took place in several different areas, including Shadman and Shah Jamal, Subzazar Housing Scheme, and Main Boulevard and Ahmed Chowk in Wapda Town.
The sealed premises include Cakes & Bakes, Unique School, Servaid Pharmacy, Euro Store, and Rainbow Cash & Carry, amid others. The LDA reissued notices to the owners before taking action.
This move is part of the LDA’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal commercial activities and ensure compliance with regulations. Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against such defaulters, demonstrating the authority’s commitment to upholding the law.
