LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced temporary load management in parts of its service area, citing a gap between electricity demand and supply.
The advisory through which LESCO informed consumers about its short-duration load management system, which it implemented in particular areas for system stability purposes.
The company said demand changes, combined with restricted supply capacity, required these actions, which they used to maintain their power distribution system operations.
LESCO stated that the load management is temporary and will be discontinued once the supply-demand situation improves. The utility requested consumers to cooperate during the period and expressed regret over the inconvenience which it caused to customers.
The organization explained that its actions would sustain operational stability while maintaining an even distribution of electrical power throughout the system. Consumers can seek further information through LESCO’s helpline 118 or by visiting the company’s official website.
