KOHAT: The Provincial Election Commission of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has changed the date of the by-elections in Kohat district.
According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, the by-elections in Kohat will now be held on November 2. Earlier, the polling was scheduled for October 28.
These elections will be held on the general seats of two neighborhood councils of Kohat, Pir Abdullah Shah and Bahadur Kot.
The Election Commission has explained that due to the conduct of Matriculation Part II exams, the voting date was changed so that students and examination centers do not face any problem.
According to the Election Commission, all arrangements are being rearranged according to the new date.
Necessary amendments are also being made in the distribution of election materials, deployment of polling staff and security plan under the new date, candidates and voters have been informed about the new polling date.
