Mediators back Pakistan in ongoing talks with Afghan Regime

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office Spokesperson has said that talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban are ongoing in Istanbul, and the mediators in the talks fully support Pakistan’s position.

During the press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that Pakistan has handed over evidence-based demands to the mediators.

The mediators are discussing our demands point by point with the Afghan Taliban; do not pay attention to any kind of statement on social media.

The spokesperson further said that Pakistan has a clear position that Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism.

We express our condolences over the deaths in the earthquake in Afghanistan.

He further said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is visiting Azerbaijan, and the Prime Minister will participate in the 5th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day in Baku.

Tahir Andrabi said that the people of occupied Kashmir are facing Indian-sponsored or fatwa terrorism.

The President presented the Pakistani government’s position on the Kashmir issue while delivering a keynote address at the Doha Conference.

He said that water is a matter of survival for Pakistan, violation of the Indus Waters Treaty is unacceptable under any circumstances, Pakistan condemns Israel’s violations of the Gaza ceasefire, and Israeli troops should withdraw from Palestinian territories.
