NADRA inaugurates counter facility for overseas Pakistanis at Riyadh Embassy

ISLAMABAD: A revised fee structure has been released for issuance and renewal of Smart National Identity Card (Smart CNIC) and Child Registration Certificate (B-Form) for April 2025 by The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

The fee structure includes Rs 750 for normal processing of smart card, 1500 for urgent and 2,500 for executive processing, as per NADRA.

For the issuance of the Child Registration Certificate, or known as B-Form, the normal processing fee is Rs 50 and 500 for the executive services, according to NADRA.

The Government has made the registration of B-Form mandatory for newborns as it serves as the foundational document in a child’s official identity record.

Recently, NADRA made improvements to its services and systems to make the application process easier and quicker. To apply for these documents, citizens can go to the nearest NADRA registration location or register online.

The authority keeps urging people to get and renew their identity cards on time, highlighting how important safe identification is to providing open and effective public services.

Earlier, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) issued important instructions for citizens applying for ID cards and other official documents.

According to the announcement, applicants must bring original documents when visiting NADRA centres. Photocopies are not required for B-Forms or registration certificates. NADRA also clarified that using someone else’s ID card as a guarantee has no legal standing.
