ISLAMABAD (Rizwan Abbasi): The rumors regarding the possible change of government in Azad Kashmir have dispelled as the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbez Sharif today to discuss the matter ended without any decision.
According to the details, an important meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s House to discuss the political situation in Azad Kashmir.
The meeting held detailed consultations on speculations regarding a possible change of government in Azad Kashmir; however, no final decision could be taken.
According to sources, rumors of a change in the parliamentary system of Azad Kashmir at the level of the Pakistani government died after the meeting. Sources said that the meeting considered in detail the political situation that arose after the protest of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
During the meeting, suggestions were made on the change of government in Azad Kashmir and possible changes in the government structure, but no consensus could be reached.
According to sources, no decision has been taken regarding the change in the Azad Kashmir government or the PML-N sitting in the opposition.
Another meeting will be called next week, in which more briefings will be taken from the established committees comprising high-level leadership, in which the political scenario is expected to be reconsidered.
Federal ministers, the top leadership of the PPP, and important government officials attended the meeting.
The participants included federal ministers Engineer Amir Muqam, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Sardar Yousaf, former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan.
