KARACHI: After the restoration of flight operations in the country, the airlines are facing major disruption because of administrative issues, according to media reports.
At least 149 flights in the country, which was scheduled has now been cancelled at various airport, including 42 flights from Islamabad, Lahore 36, and Karachi 34.
Moreover, 11 flights in Sialkot, eight in Multan, six in Faisalabad, eight in Peshawar, and four in Quetta have also been cancelled as per media reports.
According to sources, just six planes have been able to take off from the Karachi airport since operations resumed.
The airport shutdown a day earlier had a wider impact, impacting around 400 aircraft, with 130 cancelled and 24 diverted to alternate locations.
Passengers are urged to contact their airlines for the most recent details on their flight schedules.
While operations have resumed at all airports across Pakistan, logistical and administrative challenges continue to impact flight schedules nationwide. Uncertainty continues to affect more than 200 scheduled flights nationwide.
