RAWALPINDI: Funeral prayers were offered at Chaklala Garrison for three security personnel who were martyred during ongoing PTI protests.
As per the ISPR issued statement, the martyrs Naik Muhamad Ramzan (47, District Karak), Sepoy Gulfam Khan (29, District Rawalpindi), and Sepoy Shah Nawaz (33, District Sibi), were honoured in a solemn ceremony attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, senior military and civilian officials.
PM Shehbaz condemned the violence, stating that such acts of unrest are unacceptable, and that Pakistan cannot afford chaos for political purpose. He paid tribute to the martyred Rangers and police officers, expressing solidarity with their families.
The bodies of the martyrs were taken to their hometowns for burial with full military honours.
