However, sources suggest that a deal was made between police and the kidnappers, resulting in the release of murder accused Jabbar Lolai, who had been jailed for two years, in exchange for Nawaz’s freedom.
Jabbar Lolai is affiliated with the Andharh Gang and was convicted of murdering Mehr Sheikh near Nawababad. The gang celebrated his release by firing shots and sharing videos on social media.
The police are investigating the matter further. This incident follows a recent attack on police vehicles in Machhka, where 12 policemen were martyred and seven injured in a rocket attack. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that the police vehicles were attacked with rocket launchers in the Katcha area.
