MUZAFFARABAD: A formal electoral alliance has been formed between the People’s Party and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) in Azad Kashmir.
President of the PPP, Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, has said that the two parties will fight the upcoming elections together under a common strategy, and the JUI will run a vigorous election campaign in favor of the PPP candidates.
He said that they will fully support the JUI(F) candidates, the alliance has been established on principled grounds, and the far-reaching and positive results of the electoral alliance will come to light; the PPP and the JUI will jointly struggle for democratic values and political stability.The
President of the PPP, Azad Kashmir, said that through the alliance, both parties will emerge as a strong political force.
On this occasion, Ameer of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Azad Kashmir, Maulana Saeed Yousaf, said that a formal electoral alliance has been formed between the JUI Azad Kashmir and the People’s Party, and both parties will participate in the elections under a common political strategy.
He said that the alliance will prove to be a significant development in the politics of the region, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Mrs. Faryal Talpur, Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz and the PPP are grateful to the leadership of Azad Kashmir.
Maulana Saeed Yousaf further said that the PPP leadership played a positive role in the establishment of the political alliance. JUI and PPP will jointly struggle to solve public problems, both parties will move forward with unity and consensus, and the mission of public service will be continued.
Sources say that in Dhirkot and Palandri, the PPP will support the candidate of JUI, while from all other constituencies, JUI-F will support the candidates of the PPP.

In this regard, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that JUI (F) has always played a role in promoting democratic tolerance. Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s political insight and foresight are commendable.
He further said that an alliance has been reached between the PPP and JUI-F. The alliance will be officially announced upon the arrival of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The alliance will bring positive changes in the politics of the region.
