ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a nationwide protest set for Friday, following recent arrests of its leaders and perceived threats to its democratic process.
The announcement was made by PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, who emphasized the party’s commitment to safeguarding democratic values and the constitution.
During a recent meeting that saw participation from PTI MNA’s and various party leaders, Raja underscored the gravity of the situation, calling for all PTI workers to prepare for a “full protest” against what he described as an attack on the party’s foundational principals and its leadership.
Raja warned that the protest would be significant, expressing a sense of urgency and determination.
“Let there be no misunderstand, this will be a full protest. If we are removed from the public scene, there will be such a flood that you will be washed away, “Raja said.
