MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Haji Imtiaz Ahmed, who had earlier escaped from anti-corruption custody, has been re-arrested.
The MNA was caught by the authorities at Multan Airport while trying to escape to Qatar.
A few days ago, Haji Imtiaz Ahmed was released from custody after an armed attack on an anti-corruption team in Gujranwala. This daring escape had raised concerns and intensified efforts to recapture him.
Haji Imtiaz Ahmed was initially detained by Anti-Corruption Establishment officials on charges of corruption. A few days ago, he escaped from custody after firing on the anti-corruption team.
