ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Armed Forces has initiated a large-scale military operation named “Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos” in retaliation for continuous Indian provocations, security sources said on early Saturday.
Security sources said that Pakistan has successfully destroyed the storage facility of the BrahMos missile in Beas, from where missiles were launched at Pakistan.
Furthermore, multiple strategic targets across India are being engaged as part of the operation.
“The Udhampur Air Base — a major operational site — and the airfield in Pathankot have also been heavily hit,” sources said.

FM Dar apprises Turkiye FM of prevailing regional situation
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on Saturday, spoke with the Foreign Minister of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, and apprised him of the current situation in the region following last night’s Indian aggression and Pakistan’s subsequent response.
The Turkish FM lauded Pakistan’s measured and restrained response, where both leaders agreed to maintain close contact, the Foreign Office said in a post on X.

India’s Uri Supply Depot destroyed
As per state-run PTV News, Pakistan armed forces have destroyed the Uri Supply Depot, hailing it as a major success for the Pakistani forces.
“Pakistan forces broke the back of the Indian army, the Indian army bowed its knees,” sources said.
“Pakistan Army gives befitting reply to India’s aggression against Pakistan,” it reported.

Pakistan destroys more enemy posts along LoC
In a crushing response to India, the Pakistan Army has destroyed several Indian posts, security sources said.
“Pakistan Army completely destroyed Rabtanwali Post, Jazira Post Complex, Kafir Mehri, Shahpar 3, Ghadar Top on the Line of Control (LoC),” itadded.
“Pakistan’s forces, full of the spirit of martyrdom, are giving a befitting reply to the enemy,” sources said. The brave Pakistani forces silenced the Indian guns, they maintained.

India attacks RYK’s Sheikh Zayed International Airport
Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Rahim Yar Khan was damaged as a result of an Indian cowardly attack, state-run PTV News reported.
“India targeted the symbol of friendship between Pakistan and the UAE. The airport was built in 1993 and named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” it reported.
The report, citing security sources, reported that India also attempted to target Nankana Sahib yesterday. “A very shameful act by India, which is obsessed with war, is being carried out.”

32 Airports in India closed till May 14

US issues security advisory to diplomatic staff in Pakistan
The United States has advised its diplomatic workers in Pakistan not to leave until further notice, citing unspecified security concerns on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the US State Department.

‘Pakistan’s missiles hit high-value Indian targets’

Security sources have said that all those Indian bases from which they carried out attacks on Pakistani civilians and mosques are being targeted.

Earlier, state-run media, citing sources, reported that the Pakistan army has initiated a retaliatory action against India after it targeted the Pakistan Air Force’s Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot air bases.
According to the sources, Pakistan’s counteroffensive against India is currently underway. “The armed forces are currently engaging multiple targets in India,” sources said.
India targeted Pakistan’s air bases: DG ISPR
Earlier, Pakistan’s military spokesperson confirmed that India targeted the Pakistan Air Force’s three major air bases, adding that “all assets of the air force remain safe.”
Addressing the late-night presser, he said that India fired air-to-surface missiles with its jets, continuing its naked aggression.
“India should now just wait for our response,” Lt Gen warned New Delhi.
DG ISPR Sharif further said that India also carried out missile and drone attacks on Afghanistan. “India is pushing the entire region towards a dangerous war,” he said.
He has said that “India is attempting to destabilise the region” through reckless military actions, including a drone strike inside Afghanistan.
The military spokesperson warned that Pakistan would not be intimidated by India’s aggression and deceit.

‘Air defence blocked Indian missiles’
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Pakistan’s air defence system successfully intercepted “the majority” of missile attacks launched by India at PAF’s three airbases late today.
He confirmed that the military has electronic evidence confirming the strikes, from where they were initiated and what was targeted.
Addressing the presser, DG ISPR said that the few Indian missiles that were not intercepted and “sneaked in” have “not been able to cause any damage” to PAF’s flying assets as per the initial damage assessment reports.
Pakistan closes airspace till noon today
The Pakistan Airports Authority has announced the closure of the country’s airspace today from 3:15 am till 12 pm today (Saturday).
A statement from the PAA spokesperson said the airspace has been closed for all flights.
“The public is requested to keep in touch with their relevant airport administrations to get further information about the postponed flights,” it added.
India fired 6 ballistic missiles at Adampur, Amritsar: DG ISPR
Addressing the presser, DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif said India is targeting its population and Sikhs, adding that this is a provocation of the highest order.
