PCB to sell naming rights of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

PCB to sell naming rights of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Cricket Board has initiated planning to change the name of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and official tenders have been floated for the purpose.

The PCB formally commenced the process of selling the naming rights for the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and invited commercial entities to place tenders in this context.

For the first time, the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, a historic cricket stadium, will be associated with a private organization’s name.

PCB representatives stated that the naming rights of cricket grounds sales is a component of a policy aimed at increasing commercial revenues, allowing for earnings from cricket grounds across the country.

It should be mentioned that the selling of naming rights started with Karachi, and it is now the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium’s turn.

National Stadium Karachi was renamed as the National Bank Cricket Arena, offering sponsorship options.

Grounds of sports around the world are being affiliated with sponsors’ names, and PCB’s step is part of the international commercial flow. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is one of the international sports grounds.
