iPhone 18 Pro Leaks Point to Major Camera, AI and Design Overhaul

iPhone 18 Pro Leaks Point to Major Camera, AI and Design Overhaul

NEW YORK: New leaks surrounding Apple’s upcoming flagship device, the iPhone 18 Pro, suggest that the 2026 model could bring one of the most significant upgrades in recent years, focusing on design refinement, advanced photography, and artificial intelligence integration.

According to leaked renders and schematics, Apple is reportedly planning to reduce the size of the “Dynamic Island” by around 25 percent. The change may be achieved by relocating Face ID sensors beneath the display, allowing for a cleaner front design and more usable screen space.

The biggest highlight of the device is expected to be its professional-grade camera system featuring a variable aperture lens, a technology commonly used in DSLR cameras. This feature would allow users to better control light intake and depth-of-field effects, improving low-light photography and portrait shots.

The telephoto lens is also said to be upgraded for enhanced zoom performance, especially in low-light conditions. Additionally, Apple is reportedly introducing pressure-sensitive camera controls to minimize accidental input while shooting.

On the performance side, the device is expected to feature the next-generation A20 Pro chip, built on a 2-nanometer architecture. The chip is expected to improve energy efficiency while powering advanced AI features in the upcoming iOS 27.

Leaks also suggest major changes in Apple’s AI strategy, including an upgraded Siri experience reportedly integrating capabilities inspired by Google Gemini, enabling real-time object and scene recognition.

Design-wise, Apple is expected to adopt a refined glass-and-aluminum build with a smoother finish, while a new “Deep Red” color variant is also being discussed as a potential highlight of the lineup.

While none of the details have been officially confirmed, the leaks indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro could mark a major leap in Apple’s smartphone evolution, particularly in imaging and AI-driven features.
