ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) warns citizens about fake calls and SMS. PTA says that scammers pretend to be representatives of PTA, banks, or courier services to steal personal information. Citizens should be wary of fake calls and SMS.
The alert said that never share your identity card number, OTP, or password with anyone and should not click on unknown or suspicious links.
PTA directed citizens to report any fraud or fake message through complaint.pta.gov.pk or PTA CMS APP (Google Play or Apple Store).
