WhatsApp introduces limit on unanswered messages to fight spam

ISLAMABAD: WhatsApp has announced a limit on the number of unanswered messages sent to users and businesses, in order to prevent spam and unnecessary messages.

According to a statement issued by WhatsApp, under this feature, only those messages from users and businesses that have not been replied to will be limited. When a user or business approaches this limit, the app will warn them so that they can avoid being blocked from sending messages.

According to the report, the company has not yet announced the exact number of this limit, as WhatsApp is experimenting with different limits, initial experiments will be carried out in several countries in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp has clarified that these controls are specifically for those users and businesses who spam by sending too many messages, so that other users can be protected from unnecessary messages.
