ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecasted rains before Eid-ul-Adha and on the three days of Eid-ul-Adha.
Rain, hail, and windstorms will continue in the upper areas of the country; however, Severe heat and dry weather are expected in plain areas on Eid, as per the Meteorological Department.
Stormy and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Mianwali, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, and Waziristan on June 3-4.
Thunderstorms are expected in Kashmir, Gilgit, Swat, Chitral, Galiat, and Mansehra. Stormy, rain, and hailstorm predicted in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Sialkot.
The National Disaster Management Authority has urged the Public, tourists, and travelers to remain alert and issued directives to relevant agencies to ensure safety measures.
Earlier, the residents of Pakistan are set to experience hot and dry weather across the country today, on Monday, with up to 5 percent of precipitation in the afternoon, increasing the temperatures nationwide.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and neighboring mountainous regions will remain somewhat cloudy, though. Some areas around the nation might also see rain accompanied by heavy winds and thunderstorm showers.
Most areas of Punjab will experience hot and dry conditions. Whereas, some areas will experience partly cloudy weather, including Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sialkot, and Narowal.
