Govt releases key guidelines for Hajj pilgrims

Hajj 2026: Passports Offices to remain open on weekend

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued important guidelines for Hajj pilgrims, emphasizing that certain vaccinations are mandatory before traveling to Saudi Arabia.

According to the ministry’s announcement, pilgrims should receive vaccinations against meningitis, influenza and polio free of charge at their nearest Hajj camp. After being vaccinated, they must also collect a yellow vaccination card from the camp, as entry into Saudi Arabia will not be allowed without a valid vaccination certificate.

Furthermore, the ministry advised that pilgrims aged 65 and above must carry their previous COVID-19 vaccination card. If they do not have one, they will have to go to the nearest Hajj camp to get the COVID-19 vaccine and obtain the necessary certification.
