80 more flights cancelled in Pakistan amid Middle East tensions

Kuwait Airways resumes Lahore flights via Dammam from April 1

KARACHI: Due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East and airspace issues, 80 more international flights have been canceled from various airports in Pakistan today.

The total number of canceled flights to the Middle East has reached 1590 during the last 16 days, with 26 flights from Karachi Airport to various cities in the Middle East, including Doha, Kuwait and Bahrain, being canceled.

18 flights to Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait and Muscat from Islamabad Airport were canceled, 18 flights to and from Kuwait, Doha, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi were canceled from Lahore Airport, in addition to 14 flights from Peshawar Airport and 4 flights to the Middle East from Multan.

According to airport officials, international flight operations from Sialkot and Faisalabad airports are currently continuing as usual. Thousands of passengers have been stranded at airports due to widespread flight cancellations and alternative arrangements are being made by airlines.
