LEEPA VALLEY: Pakistan’s famous former cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi visited Leepa Valley along the Line of Control to meet the victims of Indian aggression.
Talking to the residents of the area in Hattian Bala, Afridi said that the Kashmiri people are a symbol of love, affection and peace, they stood with the Pakistan Army during the Indian aggression. The star cricketer said that he reached Leepa sector to thank the Kashmiri people on behalf of the Pakistani nation.
Afridi also appreciated the positive role of the media during the Indian aggression, terming it commendable. He said that Pakistan’s forces always want peace and they take action in defense of the homeland. The star cricketer said that the talent of Kashmir is a source of pride, unfortunately it is being wasted. He urged the government to pay attention to it.
He demanded that the Azad Kashmir government establish a cricket academy to save the talent. Afridi said that where there is injustice with humanity, it is terrorism. Humanity is the greatest religion. Shahid Afridi expressed regret and said that the people of occupied Kashmir are still making sacrifices for the right to self-determination.
Shahid Afridi said that the time is not far when the sun of freedom for Kashmir will rise. He demanded from the government that the Kashmiris be given the right to freedom.
The star cricketer demanded from the international community to play its role to end the oppression in occupied Kashmir.
