KOT ADDU: A married couple named Tariq and Shazia Bibi was allegedly shot dead in a matter of honor in the Sanawan area of Kot Addu district.
According to the police, Shazia ran from the house a year ago and had contracted marriage with Tariq on her own choice. Earlier, she got divorced from court with her first husband Tanveer.
Shazia’s family had also registered a case of kidnapping against Tariq, however, the case was dismissed after the couple presented a marriage certificate.
The family of Shazia and her ex-husband were not happy with this marriage. The father, brother, and ex-husband of Shazia entered into her home and allegedly killed the couple.
According to the Station House Officer (SHO) Shahid Rizwan, a case has been registered against the accused and police is conducting raids to arrest the alleged outlaw Hashim (father), Dilawar (brother), and Tanvir (ex-husband).
Regional Police Officer Sajjad Hassan Khan took notice of the incident and directed immediate arrest of the culprits.
The dead bodies were shifted to the Sananwan Rural Health Center for post-mortem.
