KARACHI: A youth in Karachi who was beaten up by a wealthy man in the Defense area, Salman Farooqi, and his bodyguards in a road rage incident, has forgiven the accused.
Sudhir reached the court on the request of his lawyer, where he identified the accused and clarified that he was unaware of the court summons. When asked about any pressure or threats, he said that he did not want to pursue the charges and expressed no objection to the court’s decision and forgave the accused.
A hearing was held in the court of the South Judicial Magistrate in Karachi regarding the youth violence incident in the Defense area.
The police presented the accused Salman Farooqi and Owais Hashmi in the court.
After the initial hearing, the court ordered the two men to be sent to jail on remand and directed the investigating officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing.
The incident involved Salman Farooqi, the head of a local company, who became agitated after a collision between his car and a motorcycle in the DHA area of Karachi.
He attacked the motorcyclist, while the young man’s sisters pleaded for forgiveness, but their appeals did not sway Farooqui. The incident gained attention after a video went viral on social media.
