Govt approves refund for Hajj applicants unable to continue

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to refund the deposited amount collected during the Hajj registration to applicants who were unable to continue with the pilgrimage because of medical issues or other valid situations.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has formulated official guidelines for the refund. Under the policy, affected pilgrims or their families can apply for the refund, subject to some conditions.

Applicants are required to provide a photocopy of their national identity card, original bank receipt for the initial payment made to the bank, and supporting medical reports. In the event of an applicant who has passed away, a death certificate shall also be provided.

Refund applications shall be made to the Accounts Officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, with all supporting documents to verify.
