Hajj flight schedule temporarily suspends in Pakistan

Hajj flight schedule temporarily suspends in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has stopped work on the Hajj flight schedule creation because current tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran create security risks.

The existing situation will affect flight operations according to source information, although the schedule will be established based on present conditions.

The sources confirmed that visa processing for pilgrims has started and continues without interruption despite potential flight schedule delays. Two-thirds of the pilgrims have already received their visas, and the issuance process for 120,000 pilgrims continued over the weekend, with ministry employees’ Saturday and Sunday leaves canceled.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs reports that Hajj schedule preparation proceeds quickly, and they anticipate schedule completion before Eid-ul-Fitr.

The schedule will contain all flight details, building reservations, room distributions, and other operational details, which will be accessible to pilgrims through the Ministry website and the Pak Hajj mobile application.

The second phase of pilgrim training will start immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr, according to sources, because the training materials and schedules have already been established.
