ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to review the regional and domestic security situation.
The meeting reviewed the regional and domestic situation in detail, in which important steps were considered for establishing peace in Pakistan’s region.
Along with this, the meeting was also briefed on the country’s internal situation and security arrangements.
On the instructions of the Prime Minister, steps were also reviewed for the evacuation of Pakistani citizens from Iran, and a detailed briefing was given by the Foreign Office for their safe return.
The evacuation of Pakistanis from Iran is being made possible through Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by senior civil and military officials: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir (Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces), Federal Ministers: Ahsan Iqbal, Mohsin Naqvi, Azam Nazir Tarar, Ahad Khan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar, Ali Pervez Malik, Special Assistant: Tariq Fatemi, and other senior civil and military officials.
